“This class is a gold for all who want to start drawing people and more complex illustrations! Actually, I haven’t met yet so detailed and so full class on this platform… And I’m vary glad I have 🙂 Thanks Iva for making such useful class! I’m writing this while my project still at the draft stage, but I definitely will spend much time on it! I want to finish my very first illustration with people and actually with the plot!)) I wanted to do this for very long time, and it was so scary to try… Thank you, Iva! With your instructions and guides it is not so intimidating :)❤️”

Get more comfortable drawing people in scenes and within interesting compositions!

Hey there, fellow artists!

Are you ready to unleash your creativity and dive into the world of drawing people within captivating environments and scenes? If so, this class is perfect for you!

Drawing people and creating scenes with characters can be a lot of fun. It not only adds personality to your illustrations but also helps you tell captivating stories.

What Will You Learn?

In this class, I will guide you on a journey of designing stylized characters and layout concepts using simple shapes. My goal is to make you feel more comfortable drawing characters in various spaces, allowing them to interact with each other seamlessly.

Why Should You Learn from Me?

Throughout my career, I’ve had the pleasure of working on diverse projects, both big and small. From illustrating for Lego Friends the Animated Series on Netflix to creating artwork for software companies, magazines, and explainer illustrations for websites and presentations, I’ve gained valuable experience.

I’ve also taught classes on stylized character design and character gestures and poses, and many of you expressed a desire to learn more about drawing people within environments and creating engaging scenes. So, I designed this class with you in mind!

To infuse a sense of summer relaxation and joy into our artistic journey, we will set our characters in the delightful setting of a summer picnic. Whether it’s in a garden, by the seaside, or in a forest meadow, the choice is yours! Together, we’ll explore various fundamental concepts, such as flat and realistic illustration, perspective, depth, volume, scale, overlap, framing, and point of view. Understanding these concepts will empower you to create captivating scenes and environments with your characters and other objects.

This class is a perfect continuation of my previous character design classes. By joining this adventure, you’ll gain solid skills for developing your character design style further. And the best part? At the end of the class, you’ll have an illustration that you can proudly print out for your home, give as a gift to a family member, or even incorporate into your portfolio. Imagine showcasing your own custom picnic illustration—it’s bound to impress!

What Gear Do You Need?

While I’ll be using Procreate in the class, you’re welcome to use any other drawing software or medium that you prefer. It’s all about finding what works best for you and your artistic journey.

To make your learning experience even more exciting, I’ve prepared a bunch of freebies for you, which you can find when you click on the button below.
